Description
This outstanding longcase clock was crafted by LFS (Lorenz Furtwängler Söhne) of Furtwangen in the Black Forest — a company world-renowned for producing top-quality movements and clock cases.
Stamped “LFS” on the movement and dated 1876 on the wooden stool, this clock is made from fine walnut and adorned with polished and lacquered brass ornaments. The hourglass motif is featured both on the top and within the large brass detailing.
The clock remains in original condition with a beautiful aged patina. The dial, weights, and pendulum are all original components. Its original 8-day movement has been fully cleaned, serviced, and is in excellent working condition — a true collector’s piece likely made on special commission.
