Description
IP signed oversize promotion poster for Nirvana - In Utero (1993), 24 x 33 inch – affixed on chipboard. Obtained In-Person by Kenneth "Jake" Jacobsen (Philadelphia, November 1993), signed by Kurt Cobain ("Kurt"), Krist Novoselic ("Krist"), and Dave Grohl ("David") in black felt tip.
The poster shows scattered, very mild signs of edge wear and is in nearly very fine condition. Exceptionally rare, with each member signing with a fairly large signature—making this a fantastic display piece!
Provenance
The Nirvana poster belonged to Kenneth "Jake" Jacobsen, an attorney who was deeply involved with the Philadelphia music scene in the 1980s and 1990s. He provided legal advice to Larry Magid, a local concert promoter.
The deal was that all members of a band would be asked to sign memorabilia, which Larry would later auction off for charity. Jake received this poster when Nirvana visited Philadelphia in November 1993.
